Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix had an early flair in sports as she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the when she was just a teenager. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix came in second place in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. After that, she enrolled at an institution called the University of Southern California and was a teacher in the elementary school. Felix's debut Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest 200-meter world champion of all time at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 by over her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently in the top 3 in all her competitions during the Olympics that took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
